Recently when calling recon, all the rep tells me is, that he sees that other reps already noted the account. They then won't even bother to recon again. Quite frustrating...

This is just the first time this has ever happened to me... Maybe I should wait longer ?

There's times I haven't been approved for a card. I wouldn't necessarily call it "giving up". I'm currently trying to get an IP approved. Biz recon could be a PITA.

Explain that your travel needs have changed , and you Love  the Chase products but the one you ARE going to give up no longer serves you. Emphasize you are NOT looking for additional credit .

No real answer. All depends on your personal threshold and how much time and nerves you are willing to spend going after the card.

So I applied for the united, ihg and hyatt cards using a 3bm and was only accepted for ihg. I called and got the united accepted. Meanwhile, i have been hucaing to get the hyatt and they constantly tell me that i cant open more than 3 cards in a short pd of time... the last person i spoke to said that if i really want the hyatt she can close one of the others. I really do want the hyatt over the ihg but dont know if its worth the cost of closing a card i never used. She put that suggestion on my record. Should I continue to huca or is it a lost cause since she wrote it all up?

not being able to get 3 in 30 days isn't true.

I understand that it not being able to get 3 in 30 isnt true and it clearly says that on the wiki but i have called about 15 times that that is the response i constantly get. How do I argue with them that I am allowed 3 in 30 days?
