To fax in verification documents:

#2: 888-643-9628
#3: 201-328-3289 (according to a rep from this dept, it's quicker than the other listed numbers)

Chase CS #: 1-800-432-3117

To know whether your application is pending or declined:
Call CS 1-888-338-2586 or 1-800-432-3117 and press # or 1. (If it's asking for your full 16 digits account number, it's 1. If it's asking for only your last 4 digits, it's #)
Press 3, then 1, then key in your SSN.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing of our decision, in approximately 2 weeks
It's pending.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing, within 7 to 10 business days, of our decision
It's been declined.

Business cards application status: call 800-453-9719.

7-10 day message on the business application line does not mean a denial.

No matter what the status of your app is or what the page said after you hit submit or what Chase emailed you, etc... CALL TODAY! Any "pending" issues can either be addressed once you get your letter in the mail in 2 weeks, or you can JUST CALL TODAY!
And if at first you don't succeed HUCA, HUCA, HUCA etc. If they tell you there's a max of 2 cards per 30 days, HUCA!
PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

Thanks.

This is Chase's new way. They approve you for a co-brand with such a large CL that there is no way your second app will go through without having to call them. Once you call, they'll deny you for 5/24.

Will your idea of applying getting a huge CL, and then calling to lower it and applying for the next card, will that work if I was denied for ink already? meaning, if I was denied for ink and now lower my personal CL, any chance to get them to reconsider, or do I have to lower CL and then apply again?

I can't speak from experience from your situation but I did it pre-application.

Did 2BM last night for Marriott (targetted 80K + 7.5K) and SP 50K. Called today and one pending, one was declined (too many total CC apps in last 24 months). Divided credit line and got them both approved. Thanks y'all.

Very nice. You offered splitting the CL after he told you too many CC apps in 24? Seems that they are usually very strict on that once they tell you its a no-go because of that.

Agreed, I was pretty surprised myself. She offered to do it to push through the first application, then, before I could offer doing it again for the second, she offered again. Then I asked her to marry me, but I forgot, I already proposed to the Walmart girl who helped load my Serve card every day.

Update:

After wife's Ritz went pending (after her Hyatt was auto-approved) she called Recon twice yesterday to get "too many cards". Called today and was approved.

I submitted a 3rd app for Marriott just for the sake of it and have not gotten it through yet. No mention of too many cards in general just that I already got 2 approved with them yesterday and they deem it enough. Prob will give it one more shot.

For my wife? No.

Mine? Also didn't but -as mentioned above- had a new reason for not letting me get it.

Got a letter yesterday that as per my request (which I never requested) they did a 2nd review & declined again due to a revolving account being over the credit limit. Which is totally false (as confirmed by a recon rep). He recommended approval but sent to a higher blah blah blah

So 2 days ago I applied for the IP and was approved. First time getting approved for biz line of credit. I then applied for United biz and was pending. Today I called recon and the 7-10 day language. So I called recon and she literally grilled me for over half an hour!!!  >:(
First it was that I just got 19.5k credit on the IP. So I said that i'm happy to split that. So she tells me to wait on hold for 2-4 min. She comes back with the 5/24 rule!! (I said "hello, that doesn't go into effect for biz cards till March!! Just kidding). So I told her that at least 5 of my accounts in the past 2yrs are AUs for family members. She puts me on hold for 2-4 min again and comes back BRUTALLY INTERROGATING me on EVERY ASPECT of my income, monthly living, employment, business, financial history, etc etc.
Then she puts me on hold again for 2-4 min, then comes back and another 2-4 min. Then she comes back saying that because I don't have any biz credit history with them and my total line of credit with them is such a high percentage of my annual income she can't approve any more cards. I asked about moving credit etc. The fact that I have a lot of money in my chase checking and that I have never come a day late on any payments with them. Nada.

What now? Any point HUCA? This was brutal. If yes, will the next rep see my notes?

For one it seems like 5/24 for biz is already in effect at least somewhat. I had intended to try and clear AUs off my CRs and then apply for CSP in the next week or two. I get the feeling that that may be a bit of a futile exercise at this point.  :(

That was brutal, but also typical. We all take our lumps. Take a deep breath and HUCA again.

I'm thinking to Huca again now that is been a few days. Would it be wise to first call Chase and have them take off a few grand from my overall CL? Recon did mention, among other things,  that my overall CL from Chase is almost equal to my annual income. But when I offered to transfer a line of credit in order to attitude this one that declined. So should I take some off (I could take off from personal and biz)
How would this effect my credit score?

P.s. what am I doing wrong that is causing "null null" to appear at the end of my post?

If when I call, recon says I have to wait till I get my letter stating the decision, is there anyway around that, or do I just have to wait ?
