Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Even if it was, you can buy GE for a fraction of that.

Why are you getting an AU?
Want SO to spend on that account, and happens to be traveling abroad too..(not sure I want to take the demagnetized route..)

I read through a lot of this thread but have not been able to keep up with it all.  Are there any data points on approvals after getting denied for 5/24. My understanding was that some ppl got approved even though they were over, but once denied for 5/24 it's a no go. (I am not a cpc)  am I correct in my understanding?

There have been a few cases of approval by recon even if over 5/24, you gotta be lucky and good on the phone but it's been done. Huge YMMV, but most likely won't get approved. (Worth trying though.)

Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

I remember reading up thread about someone in a similar situation, but it sounded like since he stopped the cc game he was under 5/24. And therefore had an easy time getting approval, even tho him+wife were closed by chase couple years ago. The question is are u under 5/24?

I applied on 8/23 and got rejected due to 5/24 (approved for 2 other cards on that pull and may have maxed out my CL with chase, as one card got 25k and other only 5k.) How long due CPC privileges take to kick in? IF I open a joint checking with family member who is CPC today- can i call RECON 2nite or tomorrow which is before 30 days?? Will they pull credit again?and what are my odds? TIA
