cc @cgr

Any info on how this works? Does this mean that the following month you will have to pay two months together?

My bank (People's United Bank)  just deferred 3 months of mortgage payments. You essentially have 3 months longer on the loan and no payments for the next 3 months. The interest portion is capped at the current rate and added as fee at the end of the loan instead of as interest to prevent it from accruing more interest....

written so well it sounds like something I would have written myself....  :D

I think a question a lot of people will be having if they only filed 2018 taxes and had a child since then if that extra child is counted.

I read the entire page you linked to and I’m not sure the answer is black and white. It sounds like this person wouldn’t be eligible for the handout if they earned over $150k in 2018. They might be eligible for the increased unemployment.

That’s for ZevWolf.

He said leave must be consecutive. Wonder where he's seeing that.
The usual law is that it doesn't have to be, and the new legislation doesn't mention it all...

Did you understand how/when the SBA loan gets forgiven?

My understanding is that it's:
a) up to a certain amount (2.5 of payroll or payroll + benefits)
b) if there is no reduction of workforce (if there is grant will be reduced by that %)
c) if employees continue to be paid through June

That I got. However what does it mean if they give a loan and then forgive it? A loan is something I need to pay back. Forgiveness is like a handout. How does it work if it's set up to be a loan that's forgiven? Do I have to make monthly interest payments until it's forgiven? When will it be forgiven??

I created a site for all financial assistance available during this difficult time. This is for both individuals and businesses (geared primarily to NYC/NYS, but has other stuff as well)

Please share with as many people as possible, so we can help each other out during this crisis!

Dunno if this belongs here. But here is a nice resource for clothing, can save lots compared to the Frum stores. https://www.sothetype.com/

But you will save even more by skipping shopping for this season.
(Site doesn't seem to be monetized, but its new)

For someone to apply for unemployment. Do they have to do anything besides apply online?
