You didn't like it when people kept harping on your bad response to a bad take. Stop bringing up the admitted bad take.

Have no idea what you are talking about.
This has been said about Biden in ten+ different ways without any pushback.
Making things up about Biden is now SOP for DDF when it comes to this war.

C'mon man... There has been pushback, led by you, and agreed to by a number of members. It was hyperbole, and pretty much everyone agreed to that. They even explained why that sentiment was being expressed. I don't know why you want to keep harping on it.

I do get it. And when you push back, there are plenty of members who publicly, and I'm sure privately, say they appreciate you doing so. What I don't get is why you insist on goading people in the EC to say things you think shouldn't be said. And then you complain about the EC... If you've already painted their picture, why get them to repeat things you don't believe have a place on DDF?

The clown quoted here (and many other times) did.
I try to stay away from the biggest EC thread I have ever seen.

Here is the problem with the EC. It pollutes people's minds. Numerous people I respect always have well thought out posts. When it comes to the war, I think their accounts have been hacked. Now maybe it is me that is in the EC when it comes to the war?
and I'm sure privately,

There's loads of stupidity (IMHO, obviously) that I don't push back on. On the contrary, if I push back it is because I think you are worth having a discussion with. Some of the posts you are talking about I may not have even seen because the user is on ignore. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who does this.

Anyhow, satire about Biden losing a friend based on the Iran deal and this administration's dealing with Iran is fair play, IMHO. Obviously it is not an accurate statement of fact, but as satire to make a political point, it is not beyond the pale. Serious comments saying Biden is close with or partners with Iran are a different story.

I am not talking about pushing back on me. There is no lack of that here.  :)
I am talking about things I call out that you and others have agreed on. If I didn't call them out most likely they wouldn't be called out.

It's been explained numerous times how personal this war is for the vast majority of the members of this forum. As Yehuda57 has said, most of us are no more than 1 or 2 degrees removed from a victim or soldier in this war. This is aside from the global antisemitism that this war has uncovered, which also makes it more personal.

You also have a tendency to push back on popular opinions, and dig in when the majority of members disagree with you. I'm sure that influences how you think about this war and how you view other posters here.

Are we an echo chamber on this topic? Probably more than any other. Does your Devil's Advocacy and your struggle for "fair and balanced" on a subject where there is not much balance and nothing is fair push you into an alternate EC? Maybe a little.

No.

That’s what I thought. He’s pushing 90 with an infection. If it’s really just an infection, he’ll probably survive.

I remember a discussion about when the US recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The point being made was this is a positive for the peace process because that is no longer on the table as a sticking point. If other countries follow thru with recognizing a Palestine state will that also be a positive for the peace process as it will no longer be on the table as a sticking point?
