I stayed here after not finding a hotel that fit the bill:

It was very nice and a close walk from the old city, the porch is a great place to eat a meal.

He has another unit with a full roof deck as well.

I've noted that we love the ruth hotel in the artist quarter (formerly ruth rimonim, now owned by dan). great location, clean rooms (other than wear and tear, should be updated one day), very decent pricing esp when booked in advance for multiple days, a very nice (unheated) pool) and great views, plus a good honest mashgiach that speaks english as first language.
