my brother flew this past monday from barcelona to new york on iberia business class with a 50 min connection in madrid. his flight from barcelona was delayed 25 minutes landing 25 minutes before his flight to new york the stewardess told him that if he runs he can make the next flight so he got to the gate 10 minutes before takeoff as they were finishing boarding and the gate agent tells him that they already removed his kosher meal to give it to him on the next flight and his baggage won't make this flight so he said that he doesn't mind he'd rather get to new york earlier than wait for "frozen gefilte fish" so she scanned his boarding pass and he was about to board when another agent comes over and says "I'm sorry we can't have a business class passenger without food so you will need to wait for the next flight in 5 hours"
and my brother started arguing with her that its his choice if he want frozen gefilte fish or not but she refused to let him board.
is he eligible for denied boarding compensation or only the eu delayed flight compensation?
