LH flight to TLV. After Oct 7 they cancelled the TLV-FRA leg. I made other arrangements to FRA and from there took the FRA-NYC leg. Are they required to reimburse me for the cancelled TLV-FRA leg?

EU law doesn't apply as you are only stopping in Europe so you would be claiming on Israeli law if anything

When was the flight/how far in advance did they cancel?/did they offer any alternatives?

Even if they in theory supposed to be liable they will claim force majure

Not speaking about compensation. Just the money that I paid for this leg that they didnt provide, if they need to reimburse me for that

At that period the policy was a waiver allowing you to begin your travel in an alternate city
(By default your entire trip cancels not one segment)
You can request but are not entitled as you purchased that on your own

Just out of curiosity. I have planned to travel to Hawaii in the near future. A volcano erupted today and there are multiple earthquakes reported. Can I get refund for the flight even if flight is non refundable if I am not feeling safe to travel ?

The other option they are saying is to get a credit which can be used only once and if the new  flight is cheaper the credit then it’s forfeited.

Currently no flights are cancelled from Hawaii.

Definitely wait closer to departure before canceling.
You may change your mind or they may end up canceling or schedule change, which would make you eligible for a full refund.

Customer rebooking desk in VIE.

There is no way you're making the next flight with a connection time of 50 minutes if the second flight is in the remote F gates. Deboarding was slow, passport control was slow, and there was a wait for the bus. Ran like a cuckoo and missed it by 5 minutes. First flight arrived 10 minutes late.
Btw, does EU comp apply in this case? Will arrive 4:40 later than originally planned.

Yes, it applies to misconnects, and it's their fault due to the 10 min delay of the first flight.
After a long back and forth with Austrian where they claimed the flight arrived early (they checked the day before), they now accept that it arrived 12 minutes late (I don't think that accounts for when the doors opened, just arrival at the gate) but claim that since the MCT is 25 minutes, it's not their problem that I didn't make the flight. The thing is A. I don't think this accounts for a transfer from non Schengen to Schengen with passport control. B. It also doesn't account for a transfer to a remote terminal and gate (you have to take a bus which only comes once in 10 minutes, you can't walk). C. No one on my flight made any connecting flights. I was one of the first at the rebooking desk and still had a long line of people all from my flight.

Who is right here? Austrian or me?

I traveled for business purposes to Europe with Austrian two weeks ago, and my luggage with my sample products never arrived to VIE. Ultimately, the baggage was returned to JFK and delivered to me after my trip concluded. The purpose of my trip was to visit factories and review these sample in detail with the manufacturers to discuss potential for production.

Am I entitled to compensation for the delayed baggage considering that they caused the trip to be a complete waste and it will need to be repeated again due to their negligence? Can the expenses of the actual trip (or at least the flights) be considered a "reasonable expense" resulting from the delayed baggage?

I tried reading up on this, but the language is very vague...
