Ticket for expired inspection. He wrote the wrong address. I was parked on Rockaway Ave, he wrote Rockaway Parkway. The address that he wrote is a real address a few blocks away from where I was parked, but I obviously have no way of proving where I was parked. Any way I could use that to get it dismissed?

ETA: I googled the address he wrote (1185 Rockaway Pkwy), and it comes up on Google Maps, but I drove by, and there's no actual building with that address. What kind of evidence could I submit to show this?
number one I'll tell you is to get a new inspection sticker.

And yes definitely write that the officer issued a ticket claiming that my vehicle was parked at this address, and there is no such address.
Let alone i never parked at this location.
And if you get yourself a new inspection sticker you could actually claim in the defense that I have a valid inspection sticker. Lol

But yes that's a valid defense.

you can write in the defense, you can actually try to Google that address but no such address will come up.
Meaning there is no 1185... That's a made up address.

Thanks  for the advice. Greatly appreciated.

Follow up question (more general): The car is registered to the company I work for. I'd rather them not find out about this whole situation. If I dispute it will my employer get a response in the mail, or will I get an e-mail response?

Usually judges don't care if address is wrong is the violation is a status violation and not a parking violation, as in your case. If there is no such address that can be a stronger defense as it is therefore not possible for the information to be correct. You can try using this site to show that there is no such address http://maps.nyc.gov/doitt/nycitymap/  usually if a star is displayed there is no such actual address.
Good Luck

Any website to search fire hydrants?
Ticket was issued saying 40 feet from corner
Hydrant is actually 15ft from corner -40. Feet would mean legally parked

Any recommendations on this?
Thanks

Submitted a dispute online and I didn't get any confirmation page or anything.

How do I know if it went through?

well, i'd think that you'd probably need the dated receipt to show when car was inspected, and lose the case
are u sure?

Ticket for expired inspection.
He wrote the wrong precinct.
Is that a mistake that gets the ticket automatically dismissed?
(When I write the info into the judge?)
no.

always take a pic of the car parked behind you if you see a ticket on your windshield.

almost impossible not to get at least 2 tickets a week if you’re in and out of your car all day. Parking in the city is crazy, I would spend a few hours a day to find legal spots. And the cops are out all day to get you.

He's talking of a meter ticket, not a pump or no standing.
