got off one because i wrote i had a sore throat and needed a parking spot by the doc so i parked by the pump...dismissed!

Can you leave an unpaid parking ticket from another state or will it come back to bite you?
 A Massachusetts ticket.
 Got $125 in tickets, but before I got a chance to pay it they doubled it to $250, there's Noone to talk to after the original 21 day issue date. If not paid or appealed within the 21 days you can't talk to anyone.

They can boot your car potentially next time you're in the city. Can you elaborate on them doubling the fine?

  Meaning when I came back to my vehicle I didn't find any tickets, I was only notified that I had a ticket when they started sending me late fees/notices that have an unpaid tickets on my vehicle.
  Tried to appeal the tickets, but was denied with a letter stating that I only have 21 days from the date of issue to appeal a ticket.
  But the ironic part is I was only notified after the 21 day cut off time that I have outstanding tickets.

IIRC double parking is illegal, it's just a courtesy in some areas that they allow it (from what I heard)

Anyone have experience appealing a ticket in nyc?

Very confusing do I pay 1st before appealing?

As the form mentions:

"Instructions: Use this form only if you want to request an appeal of your hearing decision.  If you accept the judge’s decision and are going to pay or have paid the amount imposed, you should not submit this form. "

But then says:

"If your tickets are already in judgment, interest may be added and towing or other enforcement actions may be taken while you are waiting for your appeal hearing decision. You can avoid this by paying your outstanding parking debt."

Done so many times payment is not needed. But they do recommend paying so that no additional penalties will be added until the get to your appeal

are any of the ticket fighting companies recommended?

please pm if you had good experiences with them so i know whom to use
so far they never won for me, but i did win mself on occassion
this time i dont have any good defense (esp for my speeding camers ticket)
