When it comes to a charge card (amex) how much can i spend without raising eyebrows, considering that i usually dont spend more than $1,200/month on cc's?
Big YMMV
+1Theres also the "Check Spending Ability" tool on your account mgt page.
Some claim that using that too often is an F/R trigger.
I've heard the same thing. Just giving the poster a suggestion if he has a large charge.
If that's the case then applying for an Amex card is also an FR trigger so don't apply! I mean what isn't a FR trigger?
Is there any reason not to let a cardholder on your acct use the card for renting a car?
Do you trust them?
Yes but what happens if something happens to the car?
The rental company may charge the card. Which is why I asked if you trust the person (to pay you back).
If Amex ends up paying with their insurance is that bad in any way for me?
Not AFAIK.
Also- careful with how often you log into your chase account.
I've heard that before. Is there really any truth to that?
Any card worth using specifically to pay for taxes/fees for an award ticket? Not from the standpoint of points earning, just wondering (though I'm assuming not) if any would cover some sort of trip / baggage protection if used...
