Chase's service was called Quickpay. When they joined the Zelle network, they wanted users to know that their Quickpay was now called Zelle.

I'm aware of that but by not calling it simply zelle when they merged, it creates more confusion. FMPE

It's only confusing because of quickpay.net (which I never heard of, is it legit)?
Otherwise you'd have tons of people wondering what happened to quickpay

Well quickpay by chase is essentially gone.. plenty of companies have renamed their services. To call it chase quickpay with zelle is about as confusing as it can get

My marketing team disagrees.

Chase users are used to Quickpay, and when navigating a confusing website or app, they are looking for the word "Quickpay". Other users are used to the word "Zelle", and the real name is Zelle, so they use it. "Quickpay with Zelle" is the least confusing option, because both Quickpay users and Zelle users will be able to find it. They'll eventually rebrand as Zelle once enough users realize that it is virtually synonymous.
