I once said "you people" to a black person meaning the people were she lived (west side - mostly black). She took it as racist.

Not racist because of intent (though I can see why she felt that it was, and once you explained it I hope she backed off of the claim)

My daughter just used "you people" when I asked her if she had a mask. She is from KS.

I can see both sides

If someone told me that "you people" control the media/banks/world or other stereotypical comments, I would assume it's racist and they're talking about the Jews so I guess it depends on what the comment is and to who it is said.

It makes a world of a difference when you have 40+ pairs of socks all the same style. One load, no folding or matching, one drawer to dump them all in, and they last longer because they don't get washed that often
 It's something I'd recommend everyone to do.
