Re: KLP Coke.
Used to be that they were only manufactured/sold in areas where observant Jews lived; I don't know if anything changed since. As mentioned they should be the same price as the manufacturer simply replaces it with the regular coke when being sent to places where observant Jews live.
Also as mentioned, sugar coke is available in many places in the world all year round. In IL it always has sugar. (I've noticed a deemphasis on corn syrup here, and wonder if the Misrad Habriut has strongly advised manufacturers not to use it, or if maybe sugar is cheaper than corn syrup here.)
My father used to notice conversations about KLP Coke every year on the Steve Hoffman forums (for mastering engineers).
