Don't mean to be petty or insensitive when we're talking about someone dying, but just wanted to point out that we can be thankful that he didn't die on Pesach, when it would've seriously complicated matters.
There is a story of a rabbi who sells
chametz on a massive scale, who discovered on Pesach that his non Jewish buyer was married to a Jewess and had children with her. They
davened the entire Pesach for his health.
