What flights is it offered on as of now ?

The service is available on our 767 fleet and is offered on flights to/from Boston, Toronto, Mumbai, Beijing, Johannesburg and on some of our flights to/from Bangkok, as well as on some flights to/from select destinations in Europe. Likewise, the service is available on our 737 fleet and is offered on flights to/from select destinations in Europe.

I am flying with my family (2 small children) from YYZ to TLV on Elal. They fly the 767, and it is supposed to be a less than stellar experience. I was wondering if anyone has had success getting upgraded on Elal  just by asking nicely, and if you have a contact that you have reached out to? I know this is probably an insane question, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

why would you want a one way international flight. It will be more expensive than a round trip. Just book a RT and throw out the leg you do not need

Tried getting window and isle seats. There was an empty seat in the middle. El Al told me they can't give me those seats. They said some reason about it being a courtesy to families with children. Anyone hear of this?

I book Swiss, lh, ua, Austrian with points all the time. Truth is I don't know if they sell one way because I never pay cash, but El Al points isn't an eitza either...

those airlines will all be the same for cash bookings. And there are lots of airlines that only allow RT redemptions and not only one way

IINM ELAL allows you to bid (or pay a predetermined price) for upgrades. They might even allow it once on board for a fee if there are seats available. I highly doubt one can get upgraded (especially with children) just for asking nicely.
