not sure it has been mentioned but expiration date is your birthday so if you interview right after your birthday you get almost 6 years.

Not sure how many ppl here travel to Australia, but got this:

Beginning November 01, 2012 Australian Customs and Border Protection will allow eligible U.S. Trusted Travelers to use Australia's automated border processing system, SmartGate, on a trial basis. SmartGate performs the customs and immigration checks usually conducted by an Australian Customs and Border Protection officer. It uses state-of-the-art biometric face recognition and ePassportš technology to securely and efficiently process passengers. Using SmartGate to self-process may be faster than waiting for an Australian Customs and Border Protection officer, particularly during busy travel periods

Members of ABG+ (Germany) can be enroll in GE for no fee (but require a separate interview). As so US GE members will get access to ABG+ in the upcoming months

Spoke to them again today. They said wait till the closing date to receive the credit

Is that also with bonus points or they post right after the spend?

I've had them post with spend, but if they don't then Amex could make you wait 6-8 weeks.
