I believe you just a couple of questions/comments.

1)The agent in the GE office said not like this(I know never believe any agents)

2)It doesn't say anywhere online that Nexus works for GE also.

3)Do you mean that if I only apply for Nexus, I will get all the benefits of GE also?

Nexus doesn't work for GE. If you have NeXUS you can get GE for free. At least that's how it used to be. Not sure it still is.

It could be it used to be like that, but I want to know about nowadays, which I have a feeling it doesn't, unless someone can confirm.

Why do you think it changed? When I went for my Nexus appointment I was enrolled in GE at the same time automatically.

I thought it was a glitch in the system.

No, that's how it was supposed to be.

Call a Nexus office and ask them.

No it was never a glitch. I just looked into and and read a few places it wasn't included anymore and could never confirm it was.  Meanwhile I wasn't sure I'd get reimbursed from Amex for it.

Now I'm kinda sorry I didn't make more effort into looking into it and trying it out.

So if I want nexus and global entry I should just apply for nexus and I will get both. How could it be that it's cheaper for nexus + GE than just for GE?

How could it be that sometimes a one way airline ticket is more expensive than round trip?

But I'm not sure you'll get reimbursed by Amex for Nexus.
From the Amex T&C:
"The benefit is available to Consumer and Business Platinum Card and Centurion members only and applies when the Card member selects the “Global Entry” program. Other program applications including, but not limited to, NEXUS, SENTRI, and Privium are not eligible for the statement credit. If a Card member selects any other program in addition to the Global Entry program, the transaction is not eligible for the statement credit.
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

I was reimbursed via SM.

Went for GE interview with my kids, was a waste since they don't finger print children under 4 and therefore I have to continue going to the counter as I already have been doing without my kids being registered for GE

My global entry appointment is next week. When filling out the application for my wife I used her married name, her passport is still under her maiden name. The application was conditionally approved, if I bring our marriage certificate any chance they will issue her global entry?

I'm sure I am not the only guy who made this mistake. Does anyone have a similar experience?
