Send a picture of this to UA and ask that they find a new caterer ex-EU.

Of course I emailed both 1K and UCS emails, and haven't gotten any feedback yet. Also for the umpteenth time, asked why kosher food isn't available in EWR Polaris or UC. And lastly, I was pretty livid over the fact that a couple of weeks ago, when UA 90 was initially delayed and then cancelled, why they distributed Doritos (seriously?) without any hechsher , at a gate that was 90% visibly kosher travelers. To which I attached a picture also. Zero response.

AA ZRH-PHL.

Pretty decent, not frozen solid this time, though not defrosted enough. Only ate the Entree (only remembered to take a pic after it was halfways eaten) 6.5-7/10. From Schalom Catering.

Snack at the end of the flight was from Stogel. Tuna sandwich in a sesame roll. Seemed ok, didn't take a pic or taste.

Probably the kitchen's fault for not defrosting. Definitely write to AA.
@chff Anything that Zetko can do to provide feedback on this?

Gave 5,000 miles per person after pushing back a few times. Would not give anything more.

The people is ZRH did figure out how to override the system that was charging me for luggage. Agents in PHL were not interested in researching, although AA should get their act together.

This report may be surprising some viewers!

We booked via united.com EWR-MUC round trip. Aug 29 - Sept 7
We first didn't pay attention that EWR-MUC leg is going to be with Lufthansa not united, and were a bit upset because of mask mandate still in effect by Lufthansa,
in addition, I learned that even I select kosher meal online with United it wont sync automatically with Lufthansa, So 48 hours before scheduled flight we called up Lufthansa and they manually added the kosher meal.

To our surprise the food was phenomenal see photos attached, frozen rewarmed regal catering, the best meals I have ever had on a plan, the beef was delicious!
The separate small container with beans and vegetables were a little bit Frozen but anyways don't like beans...😉

However, on the way back MUC > EWR we got a surprise,
"No Kosher Food"...what?? We ask our flight attendant politely, what's going on, he said I don't see any kosher food order on this flight, did you book this through Lufthansa, he asked? We said quite the opposite we booked it through United, and we were told by many people that Lufthansa sometimes does not sync with your special meal system, however no one told us that your system doesn't sync with your own special meal system
He kind of brushed us off, saying that yes it says kosher meal but a accommodation its blank...(not sure what that means) assuming we booked through Lufthansa, so later I logged into my united app via free limited WiFi and showed him my booking and it clearly says kosher meal, and I ask him can you please help me understand what went wrong here?

He said you are right I have no idea, and slowly moved away like nothing happened, I went to a different flight attendant from premium economy section and she got more curious what happened she had a back and forth discussion with another two flight attendants and came back to me by apologizing and saying we have no idea what happened we feel really sorry for you, unfortunately at this time I cannot bring you kosher food, obviously, however I can offer you $100 certificate for each of you good for 2 years or some 5000 points (lol) she said I believe you would like more the $100 x2 pax = $200.

Mortal lesson, don't ever really on airlines for kosher meal..

Mask mandate by Lufthansa note:
It ended up not being that bad, as they only really enforce the mask upon entering the plane and the first few minutes, then half of the plane we're not wearing the mask, for wearing it halfway down, I only saw one time during the whole flight the flight attend politely asking someone to please put the mask back on

VIE- BKK OS J, didn't even open the Stogel meal carton. On return with LH BKK-MUC- TLV also J, Amsterdam Beis Din meal, don't know who the caterers are, but it must be someone's leftover cholent that they rinsed and put out to dry. Haven't been having a good track record with KSML lately.

Austrian Airlines Business class Zetko meals ex-JFK
Dinner chicken was decent. Chummus exploded...it was rancid. Fruits had mold. Lox with every meal is just evergreen. Stogel garbage on the connection.

UA Business Class meal ex-BRU was predictably Stogel. 10am departure got us chicken nuggets for breakfast with a side of lox once again. "Cold snack" before landing...lox once again with inedible fruit cup and dry shelf stable cake.

ORD-IST: Didn’t load approx 40 pax KSMLs. Crew was super apologetic and every few minutes brought around fruit, nuts and chocolate (OU-D) to all kosher passengers. As always, COME PREPARED! Ubered Emma’s Bagels to ORD during my connection.

1hr15min layover turned into 30 minutes with a sprint of all passengers from Terminal B to D, 3/4 mile tracked on Apple Watch. Boarded as they were closing the door.

IST-TLV: La Casa (OK) meal. Cheese, veggies, olives, fruit, rolls and hot potato blintzes & veggie omelette. Very good!

Nah. Mashed potatoes with some sort of Turkey capon or similar and corn.

I can't figure out why any company would ever put mashed potatoes into a frozen KSML or any other of the frozen or shelf stable meals. They invariably end up being almost like a soup and ruining the entire meal.
