It doesn't seem like you have first hand reporting on what took place within the main economy section during the initial flight.
I understand that even if there would have been  major compliance issues within that section that does not in any way excuse denying boarding to anybody that did comply but i do feel the article is missing part of the picture as to what actually took place within the main economy section during the flight

Suggestion: Add an opening paragraph that sums up the crux of the atrocity before you explain the background. For example:

"More than 100 visibly Jewish passengers were denied boarding on a Lufthansa Airlines plane after a few unrelated Jews were alleged to have failed to follow mask guidelines on a previous flight, numerous eyewitnesses told me.
