When does Sheyan close?
I recall it being open fairly late.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Just for the record, I believe the 'free busses after Shabbos' are not free and are supposed to be paid up during the following week!
Correct me if I am wrong.
If thats true, you have to pay them back especially considering thats it's owned by Yidden.
You're right. I've seen the letters from Egged.
There is a very clear letter (in Hebrew) on the bus stop post outside the Kosel plaza, stating that the buses are NOT free on Motzai Shabbos, and that you may go on if you don't have money and pay back on Sunday.

Although I've been promoting Marvad Haksamim (search this post), I  recently observed some kashrus problems there (w/dealer) and have not yet received a satisfactory response from the rabbi in charge (read: no response)

one example: the waitress was witnessed going to a rabbanut (non-mehadrin) restaurant next door and bringing back food and serving it. the mashgiach when questioned said 'oh, good point. I should really be more careful'. The head mashgiach when i called him said he'd get back to me, when he didn't (after a week or so) i called him and he denied that a restaurant even exists next door...need i say more?

Hi all

Alot has been writen about Papagayo allready, its a very good place.

Lately I have heard from "heimishe" people in Jerusalem, that drinks with milk were served there and the hechsher is not good....

Does anyone know something about this?

Was planning on eating there sukkes, but I am not sure anymore

Dear Mr. Chuchem,

Thank you very much for your e-mail.

Subsequent to that story, the OU reviewed all of its foodservice establishments by a senior representative from NY. The point referenced to in the article suggesting a dairy alcoholic beverage possibly served at a meat restaurant in the end turned out not to be accurate.

The OU hashgacha at Papagaio is very much in order. The restaurant has an OU mashgiach temidi and in addition, is visited by another supervising OU Rov periodically. The restaurant has a good history with meeting OU requirements.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate.

Wishing you a gmar tov.

Best regards,

Rabbi David Bistricer

Any ideas on restaurants walking distance to Sheraton hotel & towers in Tel Aviv?
Also any recommendations on things to do nearby? The wife & I will be there for 1 day next week.
