my 2016 Sienna is far far more comfortable than the the 2023 Sienna which I’ve rented recently. Both XLE
Anyone own a kia carnival for comparison?
I am sensitive to noise, so if you say the Sienna is noisier on the highway, that would definitely be a con.
Unless you opt for a higher trim.
Significantly noisier. But then no 8 seat option.
i spoke to my mechanic who has years of experience working on toyota prius's, he told me that the battery starts to go after 90k-95k miles, i wonder if the same is true for the sienna
Cost to replace?
120-150
The average cost for a Toyota Prius Hybrid High Voltage Battery Replacement is between $3,893 and $4,180.
There are two batteries, one high-voltage traction battery and one 12-volt auxiliary battery. https://repairpal.com/estimator/toyota/prius/hybrid-high-voltage-battery-replacement-cost
I was referring to the sienna. Which I think only has one battery.
Nope, even Teslas have 2 batteries. I can't imagine @Mimo was talking about the 12v battery, those are not specific to hybrids.
I have a 2022 Kia Carnival LXS and I am very happy with it.Here is what I found it does better than Sienna or Odyssey It sits higher off the ground I think it is quitter in terms of road and wind noiseGas is not as good as a Sienna or Pacifica PHEV but the engine is quite powerful with very quick shiftsThe cargo space is very good and middle seat in middle row is actually usable. Also has a clever way of pushing back the middle seat so you don't sit squashed between 2 car seats!best in class driver assistance lane keep assist and adaptive cruise (LXS trims only get LKA but it works rally well)Lowest price for not cloth seats (vinyl) if you could get one at sticker. Higher trims have real leather.Handling is better than the Sienna but not as nimble as the Odyssey but is very comfortable
They have 2 batteries the regular car battery and the high voltage battery for the hybrid system, I was talking about the high voltage battery.I didn't ask how much it cost to replace so I don't know, but I would guess a few thousand
I’m thinking of getting someone a 10-15 year-old Odyssey or Sienna.1) Does one generally have cheaper insurance than the other in NYC ?2) Is there any difference fuelwise ?Anything else to take into account ?
I'll let others comment on the specifics between the models, but I'd just point out that I think both were overhauled for the 2011 model year, so I'd try to get 2011+ if the budget allows for it.
Is the 2011+ odyssey a better more reliable car than the 2008-2010 one or just a newer look ?
