Some very good points here
It sounds terrible but I agree with the last guy that it’s up to the NFLPA, they were the ones that agreed to these terms. In a league with skyrocketing revenue before and after the last CBA was signed, players aren’t taking less in pension and disability without far greater concessions such as greater revenue sharing, which on the whole greatly outweighs the decreases. But it’s not allocated equally.
The problem with the NFLPA is that the vets and all stars hold all the power and influence, as long as they get paid 20m/year guaranteed and a bigger chunk of of the pie, they couldn’t care less what matters to the average NFL player that gets paid nothing.
Those same players wouldn’t dare go on strike or even talk about it because they’ll get replaced in a heart beat from the practice squad, and there’s no other pro league that can pay them.
