Capital one wants to see three months of bank statements- why would I share them my business information?  This is just a bait and switch and they should be called out on them.

How many others are being asked for the same?
I got the same. Received my card but when trying to confirm receipt it said that my account is blocked and need to call where they said that I need to upload 3 months of bank statements. Uploaded yesterday and waiting on response.

My son got his card yesterday. Cap 1 wants 3 months bank statements.  That's too much info to give them.  I think he should sent just the top of the statements that show the account name and balance.  Do you think that will be enough?

Same here. Any way around this? Don’t have any Business Bank Statements for this account.

Does the Spark and Venture Cards need to be in one online account to transfer the cash back to miles?
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

Answer to my own question (according to a CSR): Both cards need to be in one online account to do it online, but a phone representative could do it either way.

Has anyone here started using their spark card?  My experience is that it is a really low limit (even though they say it has no limit) and you need to make multiple payments a month to lower the outstanding balance before they let you charge on it again.  Anyone with the same experience?  Any tips and how to use the card effectively?  This may make it more difficult to hit the 50k spend...  Thanks.

@Dan do you have any inside information of good SUB coming anytime in the near future. I didn't apply last time as I had just gotten two BP accounts and a Venture X and wasn't sure if I would be able to pull through on the additional spend for the Capital One Spark Cash Plus Card, I have some significant spending coming up soon, and wouldn't mind taking advantage of a good SUB.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Nope, sorry.

Is capital one sensitive to payment from 3rd party accounts?
And what speed do they ramp up the spending capacity?

They started me at $5k of spending but we’ve got to do $50k in the year…

I'm having terrible luck with it; my account was opened in march, i've managed to get 26k spent, needs another 24k within 6 weeks, but my vendors will only do large transactions, not petty little ones.
last week the spending tool allowed me 13.5k while i had a 2.5k balance owing, this week, i paid up the 2.5k, so i have a 0 balance and the tool only approved 5k! go figure.
i've vented to the reps a few times, they each give me contradictory advice...
last time i spoke, they said don't pay up right away b4 stmt closes, let it close then pay, now they're telling me, make multiple payments within the stmt cycle...
i told them i don't have time for 1k payments in the middle of the month, when i pay amex 150-200k on the due date - once!
any advice how to meet the spending threshold without agmas nefesh would be helpful (after that this card gets ignored/closed)

have you tried spending more than the tool allows?

you can't spend more than the tool says - it will be declined.  but - if you make a few intra-month payments - it seems like the credit goes up pretty dramatically - i'm carried a 20k balance - and it seems would have approved for more...  at first was very frustrating, but after making 2 or 3 intramonth quick payments - it loosened up.  Good luck!

everything about capital one is so frustrating, they just froze my account because i added it to a mobile wallet (it verified thru the app and a text message, yet it still froze the account) i called them and they need me to send my id to them again, (i've already sent it to then 10-12 times in the early days of this account) really not sure why they keep giving me such a hard time with everything
real question is on me how much nerves is the signup bonus worth.... I can't deal with all their security measures that just stop the good guys...

update:
between 7/25 and yesterday, I made 4 payments to the account, and the balance is now $4
I spent $4,400~ as well,
they still won't let be spend more than $7500
so much for multiple payments!
last month they auth'd $13,500! now with a $4 bal and multiple payments, they won't allow more than 7500!
got 3 weeks left to spend another 20k~ to get the 300,000 sign up points

Does Capital One consider it a red flag if they receive ACH payments from a third-party bank account?
