I had infant get approved a day later a couple of weeks ago, but good luck on finding an appointment so fast. You may get lucky with a cancellation, though.

Some people are still waiting for months to get approved, so YMMV.

DP1: I applied in December 2021 and was approved in July 2022. I already had Nexus but it was expiring so I applied with Global Entry instead. I was actually surprised it took so long because they had already done the background check and interview when I applied for Nexus years ago.

DP2: DD applied for global entry in January and was just approved last week.

DP: DW Applied 7/22 and got conditionally approved 7/24.
But as mentioned above you will need an appointment for the final approval.
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

Woke up today to an update that I'm approved. No mention of appointment...

As long as you renew before it expires, you will very rarely need another interview.

Thanks - was BH notified that I was conditionally approved, but JFK indicates "No appointments available for this location"

1/1 didn't require interview on GE renewal
2/2 didn't require interview when switching from NEXUS to GE
4/4 didn't require interview on NEXUS renewal

I think I read on the GE site that as long as your primary residence and job has not changed you do not require an interview on renewal.

Is there an investigative period before approval upon renewal, or it's basically automatic?

Just received by email:

Quote
Dear Global Entry Applicant,

Instead of scheduling an appointment at a Global Entry Enrollment Center, you have the unique opportunity to interview for Global Entry when you return from your next international trip.

What is Enrollment on Arrival? Global Entry applicants who are conditionally-approved can complete their interviews, the last step of the Global Entry process, while they are clearing through United States Customs and Border Protection or Pre-Clearance.

Enrollment on Arrival (EoA) is ONLY available at participating international airports in the United States and select Pre-Clearance locations and is NOT available on domestic connections.

Enrollment on Arrival is now available at the following locations:

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS)

What do I do when I land in the international terminal? Follow the signage directing you to CBP officers who can complete your Global Entry interview during your admissibility inspection. In addition to your entry document (e.g., your passport), you will need documents providing evidence of residency. Examples are driver's license (if the address is current), mortgage statement, rental payment statement, utility bill, etc. This is not required for minors.

If you would like to save time and effort, then join the thousands of other conditionally-approved Global Entry applicants and participate in Enrollment on Arrival.

No, but thought it would be helpful as it give a list of airports which give you on the spot appointments.

You dont need to "like" the post, but feel free to just ignore it.
