Well, he was previously wealthy from some kind of Tech "exit". He also had his house renovated and upgraded to a fortress for ILS 50MM - though I doubt that translates into market value, except for possibly mobsters or Russian oligarchs. It would be nice if his real-estate taxes are now increased based on the upgrades.

Terrible strategy IMHO.

Any campaign using לנו plays right into Lieberman, Meretz and all other anti-Yiddishkeit parties hands as it emphasizes sectarianism and division (besides for being untrue/inaccurate, since UTJ voters will mostly manage with Shabbos, Kashrus, Giyur, etc. regardless of what the state does, but due to כל ישראל ערבין they should care more about the fact that the general population is hurt)

Nothing new there, but I am talking from a strategic/tactical point of view. Nothing can ignite a Lieberman or Meretz campaign as well as this.

The biggest joke of the whole thing, is that the current govt had over 12 months to pass a bill not allowing Bibi to run while under indictment, yet they didn't do it. The entire essence of this govt was only to be anti Bibi, yet couldn't even pass this bill.

what ive heard from some people is that bennet, either now or for a long time, has decided that the only thing that really matters is bennet. being that he's reached the top (at least in his eyes) and has become prime minister, he knows the only way to go now is down down down. so like the rat he is, hes jumping off the sinking ship before he turns into an even bigger laughingstock.

I seem to get a feeling that we are on the cusp of גאולה האמיתית והשלימה.

With all the יתבררו ויתלבנו ויצרפו רבים that is going on in the last days and hours, both in Israeli politics (with everyone's true faces being revealed) and the Israeli court where the indictment against Netanyahu seems to be falling apart to a level where his attorneys are rumored to ask the judges to declare the indictment as invalid, there must be some ultimate good coming out.

I'm actually really sad for him.

In the weeks before he became PM, I actually took a real liking to him. I never really knew much about him until I saw a few videos of him at the time, including one that Dan extolled on DDMS. Then, without warning, he did something which we saw as spineless and backstabbing, when he made a deal which his voters never agreed to. He seemed to have been disillusioned by the prospect of the power, like so many others, and he made moves that he will have to live with forever.

Yes, he will always be proud that he is a former PM, but I can't imagine it will be anything less than an empty, nagging sense of hollow pride. At the end of the day, I don't see any way he could feel content with what he did, and now he has to ride off into the sunset feeling that he failed to stand up for his convictions when the sparkle of power loomed before him.

So yes, I'm sad for him. So much potential, now a deflated dream and a lifetime of internal regret.
