He is a fake, he's a narcissist, he'll throw everyone and anyone under the bus when it serves his purpose,
That is true about all politicians. It is part of the job description.
Saying that the only reason for the hate he gets is because he's literally a כליל המעלות is the epitome of idolism.
How does this have anything to do with "Charedim"? (FTR, this is the person who wrote it:

He is definitely not כליל המעלות, however, he is highly intelligent and extremely capable (and has very thick skin). I am not aware of anyone in the Israeli political scene that comes close to his abilities. On many economic and national security questions, there is little ideological or practical divide in Israel. Despite all the talk, there's a reality to deal with (which has been imposed by past moves and decisions, and by political balancing needs), and that reality forces certain decisions.
FWIW the defining characteristic of the "left" is hubris and arrogance. They would have loved to have someone like him as a leader. Instead, they are stuck with Lapid, who seems to have thick skin, managed to get himself to his position despite lack of credentials, but at the bottom line is a real embarrassment. (think about it, one of the things that gets a person most angry about others, is when they realize that it is themselves that are essentially at fault).
