I didn't mean him - I meant the random people on the street

Why are you excluding him? The trailer has quite a few sound clips of him.

Also notice how Gimmel Tammuz is referred to in the ad @Dan posted. Any less crazy?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

What is
Let's not go down that road.

Suffice it to say that the Rebbe was great enough and his Chassidus beautiful enough to not have to go crazy/have conspiracy theories/believe in Kefira/Trinity.

Ashreichem that you had such a Rebbe and that you still can find inspiration from his writings and that he can still effect a Yeshia by Hashem from the Next World (and Ashreichem that you go out there and do Mitzvas in his name and keep on building merit for the Rebbe to continue going up in that world). No need to build up whole Kefira elements into your mindset.

Let's not go down that road.

You used a term that I don't use, so I was asking for clarification.

I believe most Lubavitchers refer to the Rebbe in present tense. Even if they don't go around saying Yechi in public.

What is? I don't remember exactly that thread, although, I think I was somewhat following at that point. I do remember having the same sentiment, though. Why make up a whole new angle, when the Rebbe is perfectly great without it?

If there was no current Rebbe in whatever Chassidus I am part of, it makes sense to refer the last Rebbe the same way you would refer to Rashi (Zogt di Heilege Rashi).

Ahm. Maybe because it's part of what the Rebbe said and published? I don't pick and choose the Rebbe's words. I accept them, whether I understand them or not. If I don't understand them that is my problem.

If there was no current Rebbe in whatever Chassidus I am part of, it makes sense to refer the last Rebbe the same way you would refer to Rashi (Zogt di Heilege Rashi).

It's not that there is no current Rebbe c"v, it's just that we can't currently see him in a physical sense.

Side note: Have you ever heard any reference to האר"י החי?

All this from an almost comically over dramatic trailer featuring half snippets entirely out of context? I dunno, perhaps the film will reveal then all to be nuts, kofrim, or both. Perhaps it will be about baseball. Maybe at least wait to hear if the people are kofrim or not first before have this discussion, which would be the definition of

That is easy

noun

תמוז ר"ת זמני תשובה ממשמשים ובאים.
RYBs says the baalei mussar started working on Rosh Hashana right after Shavuos.
(He also said R' Wolbe said he did his primary prep for the Yomim Noraim during Av, because during Elul he had no time for his own avodah, being busy with everyone else's.)

This quote I brought obviously does not come from Lubavitch sources. I only brought it due to context on ר"ח תמוז.

You should see what preparations for 1st slichos look like in Lubavitch.

Sure, it's in Shulchan Aruch Harav.
Next you also want to wear a tie?

Not what @Yehuda57 was referring to, but I'll run with this anyway. :D
There is a real source for wearing an untucked shirt? Fascinating. Where does he write that?

I hope you realize the original comment was a joke, yes?

But as for the halachic aspect, I'd guess Dan is referring to wearing tzitzis with the beged "out" fully without getting bunched up.

I didn't say that. Just saying yahrtzeit isn't in the vernacular.

What's this have to do with vernacular?

It's used plenty. Sure, not by most, but I heard it a bunch of times this week from run of the mill Lubavitchers. Not unheard of in the slightest.
