Halachikly ok to drink the mevushal wine El Al serve in business class? They did show us a closed bottle of mevushal but then brought it back to the galley and served wine in glasses. All that  confirms is that they do have access to mevushal wine on board but what is to stop them from being מחליף either if they run low on mevushal wine (some of the passengers were taking double and triple helpings) or an honest mistake since they are handling so many passengers requests at the same time and don’t have a genuine chashivus for the inyan?

I see lots of people drinking it. Is there something I’m missing?

Products listed as Certified are preferable to those listed as Approved.
Many Scotches are aged in casks that previously held sherry, sauterne, port or other wines. Others have special "finishes" or multiple "maturations" that include aging in wine casks. All of these practices raise kashrus concerns.
The cRc policy is that Scotch is permitted unless the label or company website state that it is aged in a wine cask, has a special finish, or an extra maturation (as noted above). The label and company website of each bottle should be carefully checked before using it, and one should avoid wording such as double or triple finish, double or triple matured, dual casks or finish, European or French casks, Madeira finish, port, sauterne, or sherry and other wine casks.
The cRc listings of approved Scotches includes products that are certified and/or known to not have been aged in wine casks.

I believe what you meant to say is shop mad switch around various Israeli badatzim until they find the one who lets them do whatever they want.
Like having milchig and pareve chocolate bins side by side with spill over and mixing.

@moko, Would you have any reason to be worried about their sunflower seeds? They roast them locally on site and I don't think they bring those raw batches from Israel where there might be shmitah/other issues. What's your take?

They are going with the psak that once it is batel before being mixed with meat it is okay to mix it after. I once discussed this with Rav Forscheimer in Lakewood who told me that he would not go and buy it to use with meat bt that if it was already purchased he would use it with a clear conscience.

Once you already have it then it is a level of bdieved while going and buying it is lichatchila (I heard this specific point from Rav Heineman as well).

The pri magidam and essentially the rema say one can purchase לכתחילה something made in a אינו בן יומו. Since it’s already made it bleibs בדיעבד. This is true even if you have an alternative elsewhere. I don’t see why this would be different.
Rabbi Heineman is probably לשיטתו regarding coffee where he makes this distinction. Many people have difficulty understanding it.
