For what it's worth, sounds like  this is the minyan for the yeshiva lev Avraham (I was recruited to go there after high school), the rabbi r weinfeld seemed like a great man and very smart. Would think crowd is hardcore and will be a long minyan.

When I davened there on a Friday night it reminded me of an American frum fri night minyan, nothing special not too fast not too slow, but yamim noraim are a different deal usually by yeshivos (not sure how many talmidim/avreichim are there now, was a big 1st year after hi school place for a while in the late 90s and then they stopped and just kept the kollel, not sure what's up currently).

Anyone have any suggestions for an american style shul for yom kippur near sanhedria/gush shmonim/ramat eshkol.  Nice davening, not to slow, not to crowded, air conditioned.   Thanks.

Can anyone help me out. I'm leaving for the airport in an hour. Don't have time to read through this whole blog. What would be the best way to get to Rechavia from the airport and not too expensive. One catch. I don't have time to sit on a sherut till they fill up. I have to get to Yerushalayim, change and run to the 911 ceremony. As I remember, taxis were quite expensive. Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

if your not taking a sherut, gotta either pay the about 250 shek for a taxi, or just rent a cheap small automatic car (but that takes time at the desk and waiting on line) for about 200 shek plus need parking and cover gas. if u want to see what u can get can email rent@noachcar.co.il asap and see what they can get u last minute for a car from ben gurion. fastest will just be a taxi.

As I remember, taxis were quite expensive. Any help would be appreciated. TIA.
this may be helpful for u:

The taxi stands and dispatcher’s booth are located at Terminal 3 on the ground level (G) of the multi-level road. Private-taxi (called “special”) and shared-taxi services (called “sherut”) are available.

Licensed taxis:

Hadar Lod - transportation to all parts of the country.
Tel.: +972-3-9711103

Nesher Tours - transportation to and from Jerusalem.
Tel.: +972-2-6257227

Amal - transportation to Haifa and the North area.
Tel.: +972-4-8662324

Taxi drivers are required by law to use the meter on all trips. Unless you know the accepted rates, do not be tempted to set a price beforehand. For long trips, the driver must charge passengers according to the Ministry of Transport price list posted in all taxis.

A 25% surcharge for night trips is in effect from 9:01pm until 5:29am (from 4pm on Fridays and holiday eves). Trips out of Ben Gurion Airport are charged an additional NIS 5.00, and passengers pay approximately NIS 3.00 for each suitcase. Passengers who request use of Road 6 (a toll road) will pay an extra NIS 11.00.
