Great News!!
Greg now has a membership program. I'm unsure about status matching, but the benefits look easily worth the 25 shekel.

And the pic won't attach. Too big, and I don't know tech.

The three free coffees and 7% off every bill make it worth it to me.

There was other stuff but I didn't understand too well.

Giving Waffle Bar another shot. Wish us luck...

...and yet again Waffle Bar does not fail to disappoint.  :(

We shared lentil soup and a mushroom "toasted laffa wrap". The food was pretty decent, the service not too slow... just when I finally thought they were getting their act together, they hit a brick wall: their stupid, obstinate refusal to substitute a simple thing (similar to Sushi Garden's new meshugas, above).

We wanted to share a waffle. I like caramel syrup; my wife likes chocolate syrup. It would be pretty simple to just pick up the two damn syrup bottles and put a little of each on each half of the waffle, right? Wrong! The staff refused to accommodate us, even when we offered to pay extra. They said we had to take one syrup or the other. And they weren't apologetic, either - they were downright rude about it. "That's the policy. Finished!"

It's not like we were asking them to fry two separate dishes or anything, which would be double the work; it was a simple syrup substitution. Your average Israeli ice cream store even lets you put on a variety of syrups on your own, however you wish. But Waffle Bar? No way. Either take the caramel waffle, or the chocolate one. But G-d forbid we should try and change things a bit to make the customer happy!  >:(

Good riddance, Waffle Bar Ramat Eshkol. My life will be far better without you and your lousy service.

How do they make them hold upside down?
