My point is that people want their Aliya by the rebbe's minyan, and just because its Yom tov doesn't mean they going elsewhere

I understand that. However what did people do before ג תמוז?

And especially based on our Minhag that the Bar Mitzva aliya is either on Shabbos Mincha or Monday/Thursday!

It's recent that people fly in to get aliyos...
There's a letter from the Rebbe regarding RH vs Shabbos mincha

Oh, R' Yoel's tallis. That had a special odor (and color). (talking about the late Mem's and early Nun's when I was around him. I don't know what went on later).

One question I have is why are we theorizing what Chassidus might hold or not hold when we generally consider Halacha an overriding factor? Meaning, if you have clear guidance on what the Rebbe held, then please do so. But if all you have is people's minhagim based on Boch Sevaras or mistaken assumptions (see Rabbenu Tam on some Minhag Medina), then why we do we override Halacha or standard Minhag based on that?
