Pretty much goes in line with Chabads drive to bring moshiach.
2nd bayis was destroyed through sinas chinum, so it takes ahavas chinum to rectify that.

BH, we have a very nice community here. Though I was pretty sick on simchas torah this year.

But exactly a chabad minhag, but when I was in Cleveland for succos I davened in the chabad shul and I was highly impressed with the Ahavas Yisroel that was going on there.
I decided to look a bit more into that and I saw in the letters from the rebbe that at least 80% of his letters are talking about Ahavas Yisroel and achdus.
Way to go!

Of course not.
But I am not a big fan of people who hold of themselves way too much.
In my community at least it seems that people are way too judgemental to be able to have the Ahavas Yisroel that chabad have.

Don't agree.
I Davened in shomrei shabbos in Cleveland too they didn't seem to have heard about the whole Ahavas Yisroel thing.

Has to do with why in Chabad we generally don't run around asking mechila.
Who exactly are we as chasidim to be offended? Someone who doesn't think too much of themselves is rarely offended...

Awesome.
How do I sign up?
My biggest issue with yidishkiet is the anti simitesm (probably has to do a bit with me living in Lakewood, but in Israel it was no different).
It would be great to be part of such a community.

I'm a huge Chabad fan, and all for you becoming a chabadnik, but with all due respect you are the one bashing other Jews here, and Ahavas Yisrael is definitely a 2 way street. That, and you gotta get out more. As Dr Moose said, most OOT places will make you feel warm and fuzzy also.

Musar accepted.
I guess I have sometime to go before I reach this level.
As for OOT I have not seen it in any other OOT shul and I have been to quite a few.
It is true that some places are better than others but the hostility is still there in most places

Does chabbad light their menoras outside their doors in the USA, or by the window or inside like chasidim?

At an inside doorway.  Like between the living room and dining room.
My favorite cause: cssy.org

But you obviously don't hold that we are in shaas hasakana because you light in all the public squares in front of everyone, so what's the rational to not light outside like the din of the gemara?

same rational pretty much everyone else in chu"l uses. Apparently in Lakewood they also don't think it's a sha'as  sakana , based on all the chanuka decorations in the windows and yet most still light inside. The rational to light inside is that nowadays regardless of salaam, the ikar persumei nisa is for bnei beiso (see mg"a and m"b hilchos Chanukah) the rational to light by the doorway inside is still to be surrounded by mitzvos.

There is a difference between lighting inside by the windows, and outside. Virtually noone in chul lights outside.

There are many reasons why we don't light outside in America. Most poskim explain that we are still in somewhat shaas hasakana, so the takana to light only inside is still in affect. ie. There is freedom of religion, but no need to rub their faces in it.  Or because it rises their ire, or because it can cause a fire which can raise their ire, or because it could attract thieves. Etc etc.

My question is about the stira in chabbads minhag?
