That said, anyone else feel that the speeches are just way overdone? Can we limit speeches to 15 - 20 minutes tops (not including guest speaker from E"Y) and not have so many of them? Can there be a rotation of which R"Y speaks each year so that not all 4 have to speak every year? People's attention spans are not what they used to be. Also, Add in some more slow hartzige singing that all can join.

I think less slow singing is better. The event was super long as it was. They definitely need more English, and Rabbi Wachsman was missed. It’s nice to se 25,000 dancing and great to hear about the beauty of Torah and the zechus of supporting it. But Rabbi Wachsman did much more than that. He really gave perspective and defined the event last year both what it meant to yungerleit as well as to baalei battim.
It made all the difference.
