Flight from TLV-CDG was canceled (Client had a connection to JFK), and was rebooked for the following day. I contacted Air France for compensation and was told that since neither the origin nor final destination were in the EU they are not required to give compensation as per EU laws. I replied that I was entitled to NIS 3,180 and their response was "As per your email, I note that you have mentioned that you are entitled to compensation as per Israeli aviation law. please allow me to inform you we follow EU regulations law and pay under EU regulations law". Does that make any sense, that they follow only EU regulations? is there anything to do about this?

If cancelled due to their fault and not weather etc, you should be able to get Israeli compensation. There are lawyers who will sue them for you but take a cut.

Anyone have DP’s if a cancelled flight resulting in missed connection has the distance calculated based on the cancelled leg of full trip?

United flight.
International landing in Houston. Then on to JFK.
My son got on the 7 am flight in Houston instead of his scheduled 8 am.
The bag didn't make the earlier flight.  They're promising to deliver it to our home after 4pm.
Is he entitled to any delayed baggage benefit?

Cancelled Delta TPA-JFK flight today. First available flight was tomorrow. Drove back instead. They claim weather and refunded the points and other payments. Every other airline flew without cancellation including their other flight to LGA. Am I wasting my time?

I flew British airways from TLV-JFK with a stopover in London, TLV-LHR was supposed to be business class but when I went to check in my luggage they told me that they switched the plane and there were not enough business seats and I would be downgraded to economy plus. They gave me this letter on how to contact them but I haven't got a response.

any advice? what am I entitled to?

I think part of the Israeli aviation law and/or EU261 have rules regarding cabin downgrades.

Very small chance of getting anything from them due to the fact that it was just 2 hours

most airlines have a minimum of 3 hours

I was on a direct flight from EWR- TLV UA90 flying business. The flight was delayed boarding (30min) then boarded, delayed again (45min) because of small mechanical issue and then cancelled and everyone was pulled off the flight because of a fuel tank leak. We had to go to customer service counter which was understaffed and it took over 2 hours to get rebooked. I had to stand there with a baby and no stroller since they wouldn’t give it to me at gate check. Mind you this is all from post midnight at the flight was supposed to take off around 11pm. Ended up getting rebooked on a connecting flight the next day. We spent another 2 hours in the airport because they couldn’t find our stroller. Whole ordeal was 10 hours at the airport, needing to then go to a hotel and take a connecting flight leaving from LGA the next day.

United is now offering me $300 per ticket which is nothing compared to the cost of my ticket and what I went through. Any tips on what I’m entitled too and how to get more? Thank you.
