I have a half switch/half outlet receptacle (like this: https://a.co/d/5flkJbD )and looking to make the switch smart. Any ideas? Tia
Definitely will need to cut the wires that hold the circle plate in pic #2. Optional to cut the wire holding the E26 adapter in pic #1If you do just 1 wire cut, you'll need to buy an E26 socket from HD and splice it to the cut wire.If you do 2 wire cuts, you'll splice the two cuts ends to each other
I would add ever to that statement. They are common and cheap.https://www.energyavenue.com/Leviton/5621-2W?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIr_eS2--6-AIVYxpMCh3ZGgqCEAQYASABEgKHC_D_BwE

Anybody have experience with Honeywell 7 day timer 3 way? I installed it and the second switch has a delay as I switch it. is that normal? is there something to do about it?
I have that too. Presumably flipping the other switch operates a relay, so that delay makes sense.
Why would that be different than any smart switch?
My 3 way smart switch does this too
for what purpose is there in making both ends of a 3 way smart?
It was an existin 3 way that I replaced with a smart. Could get rid of the traveler but didnt
So you aren't using the 3 way functionality?
The 3 way still works because why not. I don't use it frequently, but when I do there's a short delay between flipping the switch and the light turning on/off
The delay is on the smart switch end or the regular switch side?
Regular
What am I missing? I don't understand why there would be a delay
Are you telling me there's something wrong? Or are we having a machlokes in metziyus
