Lakewood house sales have definitely slowed down over the past few years.

The growth of the amount of young kids in Lakewood has also slowed down. Heard this from someone at LSTA.

The growth is in the outlying towns.

The sales are down because there is not much to buy, hence the insane prices these days.

It's a disgusting example of someone who is clearly bitter using his deft writing skills to besmirch an entire community with tons of out-of-context information.

Kudos for him though for not hiding how it's personal to him because he felt shamed for leaving Lakewood and going to YU. But come on, he knows better than this. This is the type of selective reporting and narrative-building that the worst antisemites are guilty of.

Rather than get all defensive, a healthy society should listen and ask "how can we fix this"
