Easyjet did not deliver my luggage on a stopover in geneva to nyc

They finally delivered it to my home 5 days later i sent them receipts adding up to less then a $800 after many months they sent me the following

Thank you for providing us with further supporting documents.
Having reviewed your file, I must explain that like most airlines, easyJet will
cover the cost of only essential items (toiletries, basic clothing etc.) purchased
whilst at your holiday/business destination. After the first 24 hours of your flight
landing, easyJet will offer a reclaimable allowance of £25 (or local currency
equivalent) per person, per day. This maximum claimed amount is £75 (or local
currency equivalent) per person, which is equivalent to 3 days of welfare. We
will also only be able to reimburse these amounts if supported by receipts/proof
of purchase.
We are therefore pleased to confirm our offer of cash settlement in the sum of
ILS 901.87 (equivalent to GBP75 per person) (Settlement Offer).
Alternatively, should you wish, we can offer this sum in the form of an easyJet
voucher at a 20% increase on the Settlement Offer, making the value of the
easyJet voucher a total GBP270 (easyJet Voucher). The easyJet Voucher
which is available for use on any flight and can be used for the flight component,
baggage fees, seat selection and the total can be for as many or few purchases
as possible.
The easyJet Voucher can be used by other people approved by you and is valid
for up to 12 months however please note this cannot be used for online
bookings.
Please complete and return the enclosed Settlement and Release form
confirming your acceptance of the Settlement Offer and clearly state your
preference of payment. We can then arrange for the Settlement Offer to be
transferred into either your account by BACS transfer or email you the easyJet
Voucher. If you do not include a preference, we will assume that your
Settlement Offer is paid in cash via BACS transfer.

This does not cover half of my expenses!

What can be done? Any help is greatly appreciated

JetBlue Mint. At boarding pax was advised that they had a new seat assignment from the seat they checked in with. Pax boarded and found the new seat wasn't operational. No recline. Paid for a bed and got a chair.

They only offered $200 voucher. To me this isn't just an inconvenience or deficiency in service; he didn't get what he paid for.

EU airlines sometimes try their luck.
I've had more than 6 delays or issues in the 2022 and fond a company (I've actually met the owner) who are amazing.
They are Italian and pushy.
(This may seem like sycop, airhelp etc.) but they actually do have results
eg. EUR600 for my brother's delayed wizz flight
Expenses even without receipts for my delayed luggage.

Report here: https://agenzie.ritardoaereo.it/en/affiliation/luggage

Let me know if you have an issue, DM is better

Spirit cancelled a flight a few hours before flight time.  The passengers were automatically rebooked for a week later.  When they called, they couldn't get a flight the next day.
So they took a refund and booked elsewhere.
(Avios on AA for a reasonable price.)
Is there anything they should have done differently?  Except not book on Spirit in the first place.  :D
Can they get anything more out of Spirit?

Emailed BA about the dirty state we found our seats in on a 1hr flight. They replied a day later (miracle in itself) offering 5k avios per passenger. I responded asking to have the 10k avios for the 2 children on the booking credited to my account as they don't have their own. They replied within 2 hrs offering a £75 BA voucher in place of the missing 10k avios.
Happy with the result! :)

Not bad... BA is very stingy on compensation and usually offer low value vouchers.

Yesterday I flew UA1891 from CLE to EWR. While we were boarding, many people who were on UA1616 (which was delayed) were getting onto my flight due to their delay. Once everyone was on board, the pilot announced we'd need to remove some cargo due to the heavier payload and allowed landing weight. I had gate checked 2 bags along with a stroller, making sure to get the type of bag tags that allows me to pick up everything at the gate upon arrival. At some point, the FA came to my seat and gave me two tags that would force me to pick up my bags at the carousel instead of at the arrival gate. Okay, I still wasn't worried because my bags were gate checked and they were offloading cargo (to me that meant checked bags or the like). Upon arriving in EWR I quickly checked the Airtag that showed the bags were still in CLE.

I immediately went to the baggage office to open a claim and have it delivered. The UA1616 flight was leaving about a half later and I was hoping they'd get my bags on the flight. Sure enough, they were able to get my bags on my flight and would deliver them to me within 24 hours. Only issue is, aside from everything that was in there, my tallis/tefillin along with my car keys were in my carry-on. I didn't even think to take them out being that I had the type of tag that would enable me to pick up the bags at the arrival gate.

At this point there wasn't anything they could do for me. I sent my wife and kid home in an Uber while I stuck around the airport for the next two hours.

My question is, what compensation should I ask from United? My out of pocket expenses were a little over $200.

If you have receipts then you get the expenses reimbursed. Also, you can ask for a ETC. PM for help.

Trying to help family with compensation.
TLV>FCO, FCO>JFK. Stopover in FCO was supposed to be under 2 hours.

Upon arrival in FCO they were notified that due to a mechanical issue the flight was delayed. Eventually they were sent to another gate in a different concourse, then back to the original gate, and so on. After 4 hours they finally boarded- aircraft had been replaced by a different one than originally scheduled.

They've been trying to run after ITA for compensation since. Finally got a response today:
Regarding ITA Airways flight AZ 608, we have conducted an investigation with our airport department and find that it was delayed due unexcepted checks on aircraft following a bird strike.
Please allow us to explain that when a flight is delayed or canceled due to "extraordinary circumstances", as was the case with your flight, EU regulation EC 261/2004... states that the airline is not liable for compensation or refund of expenses incurred.

Any other recourse? Does this not fall under mechanical issues as originally stated?

This is so sad. AA is so incompetent. I just wrote back:

Hello,

In response to your email, Israel is not an EU member state. As such, Israel isn’t governed by European Regulation 261/2004 that you quoted. Rather Israel has it’s own aviation laws. Under Israel Air Service Law, any passenger traveling to Israel experiencing an arrival delay of  8 hours or more is entitled to receive 3,130 NIS CASH when traveling a distance of 4,500 kilometers or greater regardless of where in the world the delay occurred. This law applies in cases of mechanical delay.

Because my trip arrival in Israel was delayed for more than 8 hours because of mechanical delay, American Airlines is required to compensate me 3,130 NIS CASH as per Israel Air Services Law.

Please note that I am REFUSING the $200 airline credit provided and I am further pursuing rightful compensation of 3,130 NIS CASH as required by Israel Air Service Law.

Please be advised that this is my fourth attempt to collect legal compensation. Further denial of legal compensation by American Airlines will be met with legal action.

I can be reached at xxxxx@xxxxx.com or XXX-XXX-XXXX.

Thank you for your attention to the matter,
Ad120

@ad120  did you ever get compensated?

AA flight was delayed from jfk to tlv- orig departure was 1135 but departed over an hour and half late as the inbound incoming plane that was waiting for was delayed . Any point asking for compensation? And what's the best method?

Thanks

United lost my bags - took 4 days to locate and another 4 for delivery

Per their website
"FOR BAGS STILL LOST AFTER FIVE DAYS
If we’re unable to find your bags after five days, we’ll pay you $1,500 per bag for the value of the bags and its contents without requiring documentation"

However, they claim that they won't reimburse without receipts since they scanned it on day 4, and there were not lost for 5 days - even though I didn't get them until day 8

Super annoying - any recourse?

If you have receipts then you can get them reimbursed. Some credit cards offer compensation for delayed baages. United will probably issue a ETC in this case as you dont have receipts. PM me for help.
