AA is offering the compensation required by Israeli law(or a voucher) for the TLV flight that was cancelled a couple of weeks ago. Does that compensation include the expenses incurred? Or can I claim it in addition?At the time the TLV agents said save all receipts for food, transportation etc.

On the compensation form it says this:

"By acceptance of this compensation, I hereby release American Airlines, Inc. from any claims for compensation under Aviation Services Law (Compensation and Assistance for Flight Cancellation or Change of Conditions), 5772 -2012 in connection with flight AA145 from Tel Aviv to Miami on January 16, 2023."

Will this waive my right to claim expenses?

Anyone has experience claiming from TK? TLV - IST - JNB. Just flight delayed, causing a misconnect in IST, and reroute via DXB arriving 24 hours later. TK claim the delay was operational, and therefore no compensation  .

Just ask for good will compensation if you're not happy then follow up. On united for 1k they gave $200 voucher .

Do you have receipts for expenses? If yes, then you can get reimbursement otherwise maybe a travel credit. Also, some credit cards have baggage delay insurance. Check with the card you used on the booking.

I'm sure I can create expenses also I did have travellers insurance. Bh there was no real loss here, just aggravation. I'm trying to do this the honest way and not get 'creative'.
I didn't purchase the trip on a cc as I was using a credit from a different compensation which sponsored this trip:)

I'm happy to settle for a traveler credit and have my next trip covered. Just wondering what to expect and how hard to push.
