I would find this sevara difficult to attribute to Rav Belsky based on what he writes about that to lose the status of a beryah the loss of limb must be noticeable without magnification. I cannot believe that one can see if a bug lost an eye.

When does a tiny bugs lose its status as a beryah?
December 1999
Rabbi Neuberger
As per Rav Belsky on the 29th of Kislev:
If the loss of the limb can be seen with the same method or power of sight, which was employed in identifying the bug as a bug, then that is considered that it loss a limb. However, if a magnification is required to see that a limb was lost, beyond the magnification which identified the bug as not a dot, as seen by the naked eye, but as a bug, it would not be permitted due to this loss of limb.
