What’s cheapest way to call from states to Israel?
I use the 'asimon card' you can Google it, 3.5 cents/ minute, if there's something cheaper I'd like to know, how much is TMobile plan?

I use a service called One Suite. I’m pretty sure it’s less than 3.5 cents; I think 2 cents to a landline.

While we’re on the topic of safety, what are your thoughts on going to Har Hazeisim with a driver?

Is it possible/safe/smart to drive myself to kever Rochel?
It is considered safe, it is only a small stretch in Arab territory and the army is nearby. It's very easy.

Zero stretch in Arab territory.
though last time my parents were here, they tried it made a wrong turn and ended up in BETHLEHEM itself....

New cable car in Chaifa.
from outside Merkazit Hamifratz train station to Haifa University.
19 minutes each way, rise of 460 meters = 1509.19 feet.
gorgeous views of Haifa Bay and surrounding areas.
part of the municipal transport network so price = 5.90 (or included in your day or week pass!)

theres a gondola every 15 seconds. seats for eight plus standing, they let each group take their own gondola. enough room for a double stroller (if you need you can raise the benches)

There's a 30 story building at the top with a free observation deck. though closed through the end of june for reno
Also right there Hecht Museum- archeology+art also free. (though obviously not geared for children, my two year old enjoyed)

on the whole, recommended.

Tie in a ride on the Carmelit - the shortest subway in the world  and a visit to Chof Hashaket separate beach (like all beaches that alternate days - Sun, Tues, Thurs are ladies days; Mon, Weds, Fri are Men's days)

I don’t think he’s armed and he goes into the Moslem Quarter.

R' Simcha may not be armed, but he's accompanied by an armed guard (at least when we went).

That's what I thought too. They basicly drove right through it, in a marked rental car, and no one stopped them.
On the way back in though...
It was either right before corona (came for a bris) or a year before that (came for a wedding) - it was the wedding; my sisters were in the car

I was given a number of a driver who specializes in Har Hazeisim runs, but I don’t know if he’s armed. He probably isn’t. Going with a guide recommended by the official organization costs $80 an hour.

Best way to drive on Kvish 6 in a rental?

You have to register your car before on the website(and unregister when your done)or else the rental agency will handle it with a 50 nis processing fee
