I'm far from a translator, and I'm sure a real Hebrew speaker will laugh as some of the translations, but I did it years ago to see if it was possible.

I had an idea about 10 years ago that Abie should release a single Journeys album in Hebrew, containing a collection of songs from all 4 albums. Many of the English songs would not go over well with an Israeli audience (like Joe DiMaggio), but between  his albums, there should be at least 10 solid songs that could knock the socks off Hebrew speakers. Like Neshomalah, Memories, Man from Vilna, and my sample, It's What I Believe.

I've also thought of this for years, but not just Journeys. It's such a shame that an Israeli child doesn't know the Loshon Hara song, or Ahavas Yisroel, or the Teshuva song...

My other dream album is an album of Shmuel Kunda songs, but repurposed as nusach for tefilos. As long as I've been in yeshiva we've sung Shir Hamalos to  "Here come the trolly", Lipa's Kippa sung goes great for Lecha Dodi (and Yedid Nefesh...) and I use Our Grandparents for Hallel Hagadol....I'm sure other people have used other songs for other tefilos....
