Ok here goes:
1x4 pine?
This might be lighter: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Metrie-PVC-Trim-Board-3-4-In-x-3-1-2-In-x-8-Ft/5013353133
Bingo, this might just do it. The size you linked to is too small, but I can get the 1x5.5" and cut it lengthwise to give me 2 1x2.75s, which is perfect.
now back to the war thread!
I am impressed you are going to cut it lengthwise. What are you going to use?
I really don't know much about woodworking yet I'm working on a gigantic (at least for me) project. It's a fun learning experience.
What do I know ? I was thinking of borrowing a table saw, or maybe having the guys at Lowes do it.
Idk if Lowe's will do a small cut.

8 or 12 feet is considered small?
Ie splitting it into 2 along the length. Their cut station looks like this generally, and it's designed for cutting down sheet goods. Doesn't mean they can't do it - doesn't hurt to ask.
thank you for posting this! I was trying to describe this kind of saw that’s Lowe’s has but I don’t k ow what it’s called and couldn’t google anything!
Wish my store had that. ETA: Just noticed that is Lowes. I shop HD.
