+1

IMHO once sushi is in the fridge for a short while it's not to good anymore.

+1 to anyone that thinks that bad sushi tastes bad :P

not necessarily. Because when sushi is not good, its not even worth the 25 shekel a roll.
+100

Just look at some of the sushi they sell in local makolet fridges. There are certain companies that consistently put out such bad-looking, over-riced rolls that I wouldn't even buy it for 5 shekel. And those companies now have such a bad rap in my mind, that I wouldn't even bother looking into their product to see if it got better with time - only if I happen to stumble upon it, then maybe I'd take another look.
Who said it's not good?
What they should have done was (as Chaikel mentioned) charged 70, 80, or even 100 NIS per person; or, like a guy in my yeshiva said, charge 10 NIS per roll instead of unlimited. People would've still flocked in droves (especially with the second mehalech), yet it would have been much better.
My personal preference doesn't mean it was the right move for the store. They out themselves on the map, and it wouldn't of happened for 70 NIS

Who said it's not good?

If it doesn't even look appetizing, that's already a bad start.

Who said it's not good?

I've had it in desperate times.  Wayy to much rice and like I said..once sushi is refrigerated...not too good anymore.
It's not about the quantity of your posts.  It's about the quality.

I was talking about the makolet sushi.

FYI, Sushi Garden's new "ordering system" sucks.

and whats that?

They made a new menu, and every item has a number. You MUST order by number - heaven help you if you ask for something by name/description, and don't remember its number offhand. Also, you have to order EXACTLY what's on the menu - you can't customize a darn thing. For example, I wanted tuna-avocado-cucumber, but they told me I can't order it, only with salmon - since that's a "Alaskan Salmon Roll" (number 200, IIRC). But to replace the salmon with tuna? Heaven forbid!

In the olden days, I would walk in, tell the chef whatever concoction I fancied, and bam! - he'd make it. They would then "paint the target around the arrow", and find it (or something similar enough) on the menu and charge me. Now everything's a ton of frickin' rules...

Here's my list of recommendations:

Town area
Grill Bar- really extremely awesome israeli food. Nothing like the pargiot skewers (R' Machpoud)
Rimon Bistro- a classic place any tourist would enjoy (R' Machpoud)
Gabriel - (meat) IMO, the top restaurant around (BBY) (there's also a dairy branch next door, but not on the same level)
HaSalatiya- a salad-only place on hillel (Rabbanut mehadrin), for 30 nis you get to customize a salad
Noya pretty good meat restaurant although a bit pricey (Rabbanut mehadrin)

Mamilla
The Spaghetti's rabbanut mehadrin pretty good dairy food, I recommend if Greg's is packed
Gregs - Possibly my favorite dairy restaurant ever. rabbanut mehadrin
Luciana's- The food is delicious, and very interesting dishes. A bit pricey. Rabbanut mehadrin.

Ramat Eshkol
Waffle Bar (Rubin), so delicious and so much fun food.

Givat Shaul
Cafe Cafe BBY good dairy food
Burgers Bar rubin
Waffle Bar Rabbanut mehadrin, not as enjoyable as the ramat eshkol branch, but still delicious
+Bagget Marciano- amazing shnitzel sandwiches

Misc.
Hallo Teiman- hands down best shwarma
Papagaio OU either all you can eat or regular. Very good meat.
Ahavat Hayam - great fish restaurant, everyone loves the salads and hot pita

I just got to Israel a few days ago on my Elal deal ticket.  I took this post as a great reference to use while in Jerusalem. Thank you!
On our first night,  we ate at Hallo Teiman- great call.  That place was recommended by everyone I asked.

The next night,  we ate at Greg's- another awesome experience. We showed up at 9:30pm.  I asked the waiter for the most popular item on the menu,  and he told me to get the breakfast special! I never ate breakfast at 9:45pm but this was not a normal breakfast.  It was HUMONGOUS! very filling and a Great deal at under 60 shekel. They brought out so many dishes it was crazy.

I'll fill you in some more as we go along...
