Oddest places to find sesame:
5. On my baguette, but only every tenth sandwich (the bakers were in the mood?), even though the same bakery doesn't usually put it on
4. On home fries
3. On pizza
2. Topping on cheesecake
1. In my shirt pocket, even though I stopped eating sesame two years ago (!!)

(American Israeli) Friend of mine has a pizza store. He opened a new branch, and hired an agent to get him his initial stock of ingredients. When he shows up for the opening, he was surprised to see a 5kg bag of sesame seeds he didn't ask for. The agent explained, "I saw you forgot to put sesame seeds on your list, so I got you some."

I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Techloq version, please? (I'm usually good about not asking, but it was based on my quote, so...)

I guess because he is my friend, I thought it was crazy he got a ticket.

Thinking about it now, it is extremely dangerous. As I myself witnessed, approximately 10 years ago, a man riding his bike on the sidewalk, knocking down a young girl, and then riding over her leg...And breaking it too...

Though, I do think they should crack down on the electric scooters before bikers... The amount of close calls I've seen is scary. Hashem Yishmor.

Bikes belong in the street, going with traffic flow and not against it. I wish schools would teach this to kids; somehow parents dont seem to know this either.

More importantly, how come so many people don't wear helmets. I really don't get it. And those who don't have lights on their bike when they ride at night.

You can't put a helmet over a black hat.

I've went everywhere on a bike between the ages of 12 and 22. At 15, someone gave me a bike map of Brooklyn (I collected maps as a kid), and I was surprised to discover actual laws pertaining to bike riding (listed on the back). There certainly needs to be better advertising regarding these laws if people are to follow them...

It's not just bikers that don't know the laws, most motorists don't know either. I've been biking regularly around the city for 10+ years, and it's a bit daunting sometimes when you're near cars or not on a dedicated bike lane.

The thing that always scared me most while biking, was the fear of drivers opening their car doors while you're passing... Which did in fact happen to my brother a number of years ago, he got knocked right off his bike, face first. BH, besides for a few bruises, and being soar the next few days, he was ok. (BH he was wearing a helmet as well!) It's definitely scary thinking about what could have happened had there been a car driving by.

Drivers should definitely be cautious before opening their car doors...
