Generally speaking, if there’s an option for online and calling, calling will just have you wait on hold for an agent to fill out that same online form for you.

I had a UA flight from IAD to EWR on June 26, it was delayed repeatedly until eventually being cancelled. I have a screenshot from United app showing it's been delayed 21.5 hours. I never got the email about the 30k and when I reached out to them on Twitter about it, they advised me to contact their regular Customer Care team.

The itinerary was the final leg of a longer itinerary and it's possible I hadn't checked in with UA because I saw it was constantly being delayed and proactively made alternative arrangements to just make the drive. That's the only reason I can think why they're not giving me the 30k compensation.

Sigh... This guy is obviously not a DDFer, or he would know it is better to stay on the plane and demand (sizable) compensation rather than inconvenience an entire plane full of passengers. And also because he is a selfish idiot, which we don't have here.

Not so true
Us airlines take everyone's orders by asking for first and second choice before starting service and have a specific hierarchy they are supposed to follow

Had a flight DTW-ATL-TLV. DTW-ATL was delayed causing a missed connection. Ended up taking ATL-MUC-TLV. Final arrival time was 7 hours after scheduled arrival time. What compensation is entitled?

Can't hurt to try asking though
They are required to provide you with meals and phone calls under Israeli law if they didn't provide try fighting
