Looks like I must have missed that it was a school zone. Plus I get a bonus $25 fine from National.
What are the hours that school zones are in effect?

They used to be off weekends and after 10pm. No longer. Also since the official reason is school zone safety they are all located within a mile of a school

How fast were you going?

They changed the law recently (maybe a year ago) making all hours in effect, and essentially the entire city is a school zone. (I guess they had to do it that way to comply with NYS laws and still manage to maximize the revenue).
No idea, how do I see? Definitely not fast.

Entire city is a school zone? Say what?

School zone hours where I come from are an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. Definitely not at 944am.

What a sick joke. Why people live in a city that hates you is a mystery to me.

I've recently seen cars with one character or more of the license plate covered with duct tape (or electric tape), if the tape is the same color as the background (or the color of the characters) it's almost indistinguishable from a distance.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

CLE might be a liberal city, but...
-Bans on plastic bags are now banned in OH cities.
-CLE voters voted to ban speeding and red light cameras.
-OH cities with speeding and red light cameras lose an equal amount of revenue from the state based on how much they collect.
I heard from someone who is moving to Cleveland that the school choice program is now only offered to those who are already in the program and they are no longer accepting anyone new. Is that true?
Seems like that was one of the biggest attractions of moving to Ohio.

Interesting. This was not a rumor I heard from someone else, it was told to me directly by a person who is making the move, so I'm assuming they were well-informed on the topic.
Would be great if they were wrong..

From my research some time ago, it's not what it used to be. The qualifications changed, but it's possible to be grandfathered in. Maybe that's what the person meant.

I'm pretty sure that for edchoice you need to live in a qualifying district. I has heard that UH/CH no longer qualifies, but whoever is on is grandfathered in. Beachwood never qualified. Not sure about shaker. If you are low income you can get edchoice expansion wherever you live

"Under the newly expanded EdChoice program, nearly every student in the state will be eligible for a $6,165 scholarship for elementary school students and an $8,400 scholarship for high school students."

They expanded the program  to include all districts (Beachwood, Cleveland Heights, University Heights)

A very large percentage of students (most)? already get vouchers. The amount was upped from $5500 to 6100 now so no major difference for those that already qualified
